London's Burning ~ Riots on the streets of London

Monika Konczyk, 32, jumped from the Second floor window into the arms of a Metropolitan Police riot officer as violent thugs rampaged through the streets. 

"She had moved to the UK for a better life but has been left severely traumatised by the incident" 

This now iconic image of the woman jumping from the second floor of a burning building struck a cord with me. The senseless violence and destruction is captured in this one frightening image.
